Courses & Workshops

My Story

I originally trained in Mindfulness to bring Mindfulness into the  curriculum to help young people learn skills to reduce stress and anxiety when I was Head of Wellbeing in an inner city school in Cardiff. I developed a whole school approach to Wellbeing and Mindfulness and I loved my teaching career but after many years I suffered from long term chronic stress and anxiety and Mindfulness helped me to recognise that I needed to look after myself.

In 2015 after training in lots of different Mindfulness training programmes at Bangor University and with Mindfulness in Schools to teach children, young people and adults  I decided to leave my job in teaching and focus my energy on teaching  Mindfulness courses for schools and local communities as a freelance trainer.

I went back to University and studied  part -time at the  University of Exeter,  MSc in Psychology and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy in 2020. That was a real achievement for me and I loved my years at Exeter Uni!!

Since 2015 I have taught well over 30 8-week Mindfulness-Based courses to staff in schools and adults in the community. I have also delivered Mindfulness and Wellbeing workshops and presentations to hundreds of staff in schools, managers and employees in workplace settings, headteachers and adults in local community settings. I have also taught children in primary schools and young people in secondary schools. Feedback from the people I have worked with over the years has been excellent. I feel so happy to be doing a job that I truly love and feel passionate about.

I moved back to Scotland in 2021 and more recently, I have been focussing on developing  and delivering training on  new learning and teaching materials for schools (students and staff)  and adults in the community  Mental Wellbeing  courses  integrating  Mindfulness and Cognitive Therapy skills  and practices.
